KcsFax Bridge  

The KcsFax Bridge was written as a replacement to the Pentagon2000 SQL database. 

As with most of the KCS developed applications, the KcsFax was written to address a need. Using KcsFax, the handling and transmission of faxes from the Pentagon2000 system is greatly improved.

Improvements:

Increased Reliability and Performance.
Does not require routine rebooting to reinitialize poorly managed memory.
No Memory Leaks.
Unlimited 'Pending' Queue size.
Proper Queuing and Rescheduling of Faxes.

The KcsFax Bridge achieves many of its improvements by leveraging the capabilities and features of the Microsoft Fax Server included with Microsoft Windows XP-Pro.  And, thereby eliminates the awkwardness and any incompatibilities issues. 

As we've discovered, the Microsoft Fax Server is well suited for high volume fax transmitting.  In fact, its rescheduling of 'busy' and 'transmission error' attempts is superb. Unlike its predecessor, the failed attempts are left in the queue for later retries., during which, the fax server queues up other waiting faxes for transmission.

Hardware Requirements:

Modem enabled XP-Pro Workstation.

Because of its Low CPU Utilization and Memory Overhead, any modem enabled workstation that can mount XP-Pro, is suitable for the KcsFax Bridge.
